Celebrity stylist Anya Sarre and her husband Tim are loving parenthood! The Head Fashion Stylist for Entertainment Tonight and The Insider gave birth to the couple’s first child – a son named Sawyer William – on July 14.

The new mom introduces her beautiful boy and opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about the joys of early motherhood, taking placenta capsules, her “fantastic” newborn son who is “loving the Malibu lifestyle,” and the “pointless” hairdo the morning of Sawyer’s birth.

CBS: Congratulation on the birth of Sawyer! How are you feeling?

AS: “I feel great and so lucky! All my years of night-before-the-Oscars-Red-Carpet-styling prepared me for the ‘no sleep.’ I have been taking my placenta capsules to help with my energy, mood, and well-being from MommyFeelGood.com. I know how lucky I am that Sawyer is such a calm, happy, healthy baby.”

CBS: How is Sawyer doing?

AS: “Baby Sawyer is fantastic! He is a morning baby who changes his outfit about 4 times a day. He has already had 3 photo shoots and he is loving the Malibu lifestyle and ocean view.

He feels very at home in his nautical-themed nursery, complete with patterned curtains fromCarousel Designs, monogrammed blankets from Butterscotch Blankees, and a custom rocker from Newco International. His favorite diapers are “G” Diapers and he loves the EcoStore baby product line. His favorite time of day is when he gets to hang out with his dad in the man cave.”

CBS: How is early motherhood?

AS: “It is amazing. I love those magical moments with him. He is sleeping in the hand-carved cradle that my grandfather made for me when I was born  – I just added a few monograms to it. It is really special to keep family traditions as well as creating my own new ones. It’s all still so new and exciting. Everyone’s been so nice and so generous with their advice and tips and tricks.”

CBS: How was the birth?

AS: “Wow! No matter how many books you read or classes you take, nothing can prepare you for that ‘situation’ called birth! My team at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center were rockstars and my husband gets a medal for having to endure me throwing ice chips at him. Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz is the best in the business and somehow I survived that 16 hour labor. Finding out I had a baby boy, after 10 months of not knowing, really was a special moment.

I must admit though, my blowout at DryBar that morning was pretty pointless!”

Anya Sarre’s Gorgeous {Nautical Inspired} Baby Shower

We are so thrilled to share with you this beautiful baby shower that was hosted for the fabulous Anya Sarre, Fashion Stylist for Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.  The shower was celebrated at Andaz Hotel’s rooftop in West Hollywood, California and was styled with nautical inspirations.  We adore Anya’s outfit!  She was stunning in a custom made dress made by Chagoury Couture, jewelry from XIV Karats and YSL heels.  Anya was glowing!

We were so thrilled to design the Nautical themed printables for the shower. The color scheme was navy and gold and it couldn’t have turned out more adorable.

The invitation was sent in a bottle and included a “map registry”, which was adorable way to inform the guests of Anya’s registry information.

The beautiful setting included a styled dessert table with plenty of sweets for the guests.

How precious are the lifesavers attached with twine to the cotton candy bags?  I also love the use of the blue rock candy for the filler/liners.

Drink bottles were adorned with a printable custom drink wrap.

Guests left name suggestions for Anya.  I adore these cards that Adria designed!

Precious clothing gifts were hung as decor with clothespins.

The guests favor bags were nautical inspired and adorned with a printable favor tag.

What a beautiful shower!  A huge congrats to Anya Sarre!

Weekend Notes: Summer Styles Made Easy, by Anya Sarre

July 13, 2012

http://cristinahh.wordpress.com/2012/07/13/weekend-notes-summer-styles-made-easy-by-anya-sarre/

Anya Sarre, celebrity stylist (including Kim Kardashian) with shoedazzle.com, reached out to me to share an inspirational article for all women who love fashion and shopping. Here it is!

Summer Styles Made Easy: Staying Both Comfortable and Confident

Confidence is a key accessory that can tie any wardrobe together, regardless of where each item of that wardrobe was purchased. Without confidence, inner beauty finds it difficult to shine; a mask of conformity and self-doubt can ruin even the most charming of outfits. Let your red carpet confidence shine in the hottest summer trends this summer season!

There are actually many chic summer styles that are considered to be very much “in” right now that should work to keep all women feeling lovely, fashionable, and comfortable.

One of my personal favorites, the long maxi dress, is the perfect way to stay stylish and yet cool during the rising temperatures. Typically made from soft, flowing fabrics, these dresses are flattering for women of all shapes and sizes. Printed maxi dresses are the way to go! Wear stripes to make you look more “curvy” or solid colors to portray a “slimmer” look. At the same time, store racks are offering a delightful range of fun, flouncy skirts this summer, and paring these skirts with comfortable blouses should provide outfits for all occasions. Other fun and fashionable items to consider include vintage statement jewelry pieces, cloth headbands, and floppy sun hats.

Interestingly enough, investing in a few fun pairs of summery women’s shoes can often boost your overall confidence. Perhaps it is the added height offered by wedge heels that brings your head a little closer to the fluffy clouds, or it is the lovely lengthening effect that these shoes have on your legs, but heels are well-known to help women feel more confident. Of course, instilling feelings of confidence can also be independent of the shoes on one’s feet, but some cute footwear certainly can never hurt at all!

The summer months certainly don’t have to be ones that fill your minds with dread. Instead, find a few of the previously mentioned summer fashion items and pair them with the beauty that comes from feelings of confidence radiating from within, regardless of the temperature outside. Such items can be affordably purchased through a variety of shops in any area without breaking the bank!

A LEOPARD CAN’T CHANGE HER SPOTS BUT A GIRL CAN CHANGE HER NAIL COLOR

July 12, 2012

Bring in the summer sunshine with all of your stylistic necessary accessories. Those all day summer pool parties, beach extravaganzas and stylish roof top events are waiting for you. Glam it up and add the final touch to your wardrobe by staying on top of this summer’s nail polish trends. Let’s make that daring transition from our beautiful neutral hues onto something a little more lively to bring in the summer right. I believe that you can never be too dressed up and your nail color can never be too fun. So once you try out these hottest colors for summer don’t be alarmed when you find a new “fabulous fav!”

Rule of Thumb

We can never be too creative, so why not walk on the wild side? Use nail polish to glam up a basic outfit or to polish off a finished styled look. With summer officially approaching, we will all start to get our own summertime glow—and what better way to set off that summer complexion than with neon nails. Be edgy and draw attention into to how lovely your nails look. It’s all about having fun with fashion, and what better way to spice up you look pairing your bright neon nails with the perfect peep toe pump or sandal. Whether you are walking through the park in your comfy T and favorite jean shorts, or in a sleek dress—be daring and feel gorgeous in your new neon fabulous find.
Nail Polish Paints a Thousand Words

Be cool and coy with metallic and glitter polishes this summer—be bold and let your nails gleam like diamonds in the sunshine. From all of the compliments, you might feel like you’re showing your nails off like an engagement ring this summer! These polishes can be compared to your everyday jewelry. I’ve noticed that we will throw a pair of glittery gold studs or shinny drop down earrings in our ears without a second thought, but hesitate to paint these color on our nails for fear of being too bold! Don’t be afraid to make your statement and be fierce from head to toe—for a nail polish color can easily help scale you as “best dressed” at an affair. With a bouncy summer dress or against denim, your hands and feet will be nothing short of amazing this summer.

Go Green

Last but not least, green the hottest color this summer in any shade! From playful pastel greens all the way to the darkest forest of greens—this is a must have color for any nail polish collection. As trendy as this color is, it really accents almost every thing, perfectly! Try it for yourself this summer and fall in love. Your manicure and pedicure are waiting patiently to be jazzed up with the summer’s hottest, so tell a friend to tell a friend. Sophistication at its finest is all about going green!

Let nail polish can be the perfect accessory without breaking the bank! Color combinations you may of never thought of before has the power to transform the way shoes looks on your feet and how and outfit is finalized. Don’t get caught in those embarrassing moments or fear shaking hands, waving to an old friend, or hiding your hands in photos ever again. With that being said, I can’t wait to see all of these styles out this summer…see you on the beach!
